Season 1 stars the work of students in Professor Larnerd’s winter 2022 “Visual Culture: Furniture” class. The final project tasked teams of students with researching, writing, and recording a short rumination on the social power of a single piece of furniture. There was a catch, though: that piece of furniture had to be available for public use in Philadelphia or it had to appear in post-1980 visual culture.
